Brake Caliper Painting

Get the front of the car jacked up using the floor jack under the front suspension cross member. Also put two jack stands underneath the frame rails for extra stability.

I sprayed with carb cleaner, scrubbed, then washed it down with dish cleaning soap

Mask off everything you don't want becoming colorful

This stage is must be done right (obviously). I applied many layer of newspaper around the wheel well, overlapping onto the body panels slightly, covered the rotor and then covered the pads themselves with duct tape. Also, to be sure I wouldn't get overspray on the car body, I put on the car cover.

I wanted the "NISSAN" logo on the caliper to be silver, so I needed something to sand off the paint with. Take some sandpaper and nail is to this 2"x4" piece of wood.
